Why Ghana music is not going anywhere – R2bees

Award winning Ghanaian music duo, R2bees, comprising Mugeez and Paedae has observed that music is not growing in the West African nation because musicians engage in too much imitation and reproduction of content.
Speaking in a recent interview with Starr FM, the group, which has just released a new smashing single, ‘Makoma’, called on artistes to discover their identity and avoid imitation to take Ghanaian music to a greater height.
‘Our music is not going anywhere because of too much photocopying and imitation. Some of the artistes singing dancehall cannot even speak the ‘patois’ well.
‘You can’t sell Jamaica to the Jamaicans, let’s get our own identity and push the Ghanaian music industry forward,’ the group added.

R2bees is rated among the best music duos in Africa and praised for staying relevant and consistent in the music industry for a decade
