Reports say the reality star and transgender advocate could undergo further surgery to achieve what she needs.
An insider tells radaronline, ''Caitlyn
wants her voice to sound feminine, and feels that her physical
appearance doesn’t go along with her new image. The voice is a constant
reminder of Caitlyn’s former life as Bruce. It’s been very hard for
Caitlyn to move forward as a woman, while sounding like a man... She is
exploring all her options, including having surgery, as well as hiring a
vocal coach.''
Well, the surgical procedure Caitlyn is seeking for is called ferminization laryngoplasty
(a surgery for male-to-female transgender patients) and involves
remodeling the voice box – a procedure which is typically done on an
outpatient basis. If she goes through with it, she won't be able to speak or even whisper for two weeks.
However, the 65-year-old seemed to be high spirits when she arrived in time for transgender actress Candis Cayne's performance - in the company of a few friends - at NYC's Pride event on Sunday, June 28 just moments after the annual Gay Pride Parade ended.
