OSUN: Man arraigned for raping his daughter

A 34-year-old Muhammed Ahmed has been arraigned in court for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter.

The accused was arraigned on a two-count charge of unlawful intercourse and assault.

Ahmed had, when being paraded by the NSCDC, confessed to the crime saying: ““I only have sex with her six times since April 2015.””

Addressing the court, the prosecutor, Mr. Duro Adekunle, told the court that the accused was arrested while having sexual intercourse with his daughter.

His plea was not however when the charge sheet was read in court owing to the nature of the matter.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Habibat Bashiru, subsequently ordered the accused to be remanded in Ilesa Prison.

She later adjourned the case to October 30 when formal bail application for the accused would have been filed before the High court.
