Three
women were killed on impact and a fourth woman later died from her injuries,
officials told CBS New York. More than one of the surviving passengers was

The group, touring a winery, hired the limo so they could drink responsibly, according to the Post. The truck's driver immediately ran into the woods nearby, police allege to the Post, but was apprehended and charged with driving while intoxicated.

The
truck's driver, Steven Romeo, 58, of Bethpage, was arraigned at Eastern Long
island Hospital and ordered held on $1 million bond, the Suffolk County
District Attorney's Office told NBC New York.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley also said the limo driver's U-turn was "a dangerous move."
He described the scene as "hectic," and there are conflicting reports about the total number of passengers and the number of injured victims, and whether or not the group was part of a bachelorette party.
