A Colorado woman was killed by lightning just six days after her wedding.
Kathleen
Bartlett, 31, and her new husband were hiking on Friday when they were struck
by a sudden bolt, authorities said.
Bartlett
died on the side of Mt. Yale, ABC 7 reported. Her husband of less than a week,
32-year-old Ryan Pocius, was flown to a Colorado Springs hospital in stable
condition.
The
doomed couple had just celebrated their wedding on July 11 at the Denver
Botanic Gardens.
“She
was just so in love and so grateful and just so happy,” friend Deborah Young told ABC 7.
