American rapper, Curtis
Jackson III, aka 50 Cent, is currently recovering at home after having a
close shave with death on Tuesday. The popular artiste, who once
performed in Nigeria at the annual Star Trek music concert, reportedly
had a car accident on New York City’s Long Island Expressway.

Cent’s official website said he was driving his bullet-proof Sport
Utility Vehicle on the road when a truck hit him from behind. The SUV
was severely damaged and he was treated at a Queens hospital for neck
and back injuries.
The artiste was discharged after his
injuries were confirmed to be minor. Although he was said to be quite
‘sore’ about the accident, he has since sent a message to his fans
through his aides that he is okay and ready for the public launch of his
fifth official and full-length album next Tuesday.
