U.S. Awaits Buhari’s Shopping List

Ahead of the July 20 visit to the United State by President Muhammadu Buhari for a meeting with President Barack Obama, the U.S Government, says it is yet to receive the priority agenda of the new administration.
Outgoing Consul General, Lagos, Jeffrey J. Hawkins in an exclusive interview with Daily Independent, noted on Tuesday that the visit is widely expected to strengthen and expand the partnership between both governments, especially in the area of tackling the Boko Haram insurgency.
The White House had on June 25 announced that President Obama would host Buhari in Washington, D.C. on July 20, accompanied by “senior advisors,” an indication that the visit will be more substantive than ceremonial...
